For this poetry collection, I developed a full-scope design that mirrored the emotional and temporal atmosphere of the text. Working closely with the author and editor, I crafted a visual language that complemented the poetic content through careful typographic treatment and image integration. To create a cohesive aesthetic aligned with the book’s themes of memory and transience, I employed Polaroid technology to reinterpret digital photographs—intentionally distorting and aging the imagery to reflect the tone and time period referenced throughout the poems. The final result was a richly textured publication, with both paperback and hardcover editions prepared for print. I led all aspects of design, from layout and cover composition to image production and prepress, ensuring fidelity across formats.

Cherry is a self-published artist book that explores themes of intimacy, memory, and identity through a blend of photography, poetic prose, and handwritten text. I led the full creative and production process—from concept development and visual sequencing to layout design and final print preparation. Curated visuals informed the layout and design choices, creating a synergetic relationship between design and content. The book features experimental typography and nonlinear visual storytelling, using photographic repetition, negative space, and intentional pacing to guide the reader through a highly personal narrative. Drawing on my background in fine art printing and bookbinding, I carefully selected paper stock and finishes to elevate the tactile experience and reinforce the emotional tone of the work.

This Fucking Paradise is a self-published visual-poetic journal that blends diaristic writing, photography, and experimental layout to examine the contradictions of beauty, disillusionment, and place. Designed to feel both immediate and intimate, the book’s structure balances raw photographic documentation with poetic fragments, emphasizing rhythm, repetition, and silence as design elements. I approached the layout with a cinematic sensibility—using pacing, sequencing, and whitespace to control mood and movement. Typography was intentionally restrained to let the visual imagery carry emotional weight. From conceptual development to final prepress formatting, every decision was grounded in the desire to create a deeply atmospheric and immersive reading experience. The project highlights my ability to merge content and form in ways that feel both deliberate and emotionally resonant.
